Global Recycling Day

Global Recycling Day is one of the world's leading international celebrations of recycling. Established in 2018, it was created to recognise and celebrate the vital role recycling plays in protecting the world's precious primary resources.

Upcycle4Better first began working with Ranjit Baxi, Founder of Global Recycling Day, in 2024, when we launched Malaysia's first textile recycling hub created from a repurposed shipping container. Building on this partnership, the U4B ESG Impact Awards 2027 will become the first awards ceremony in Malaysia to receive the endorsement of Global Recycling Day.
